We teach money management to kids, but there is no competition between us and others with similar missions. We are all trying to help the next generation avoid the meticulously planned debt traps that too many of us didn’t avoid.
In that spirit, I want to share with you an article about a new book series for kids about money. It’s important that we teach through many avenues. Though I believe that having students take part in our workshops that get kids moving, talking, and thinking about money is paramount in creating a healthy relationship with money, culture, and others I think it is equally important to teach through other methods.
Reading is an awesome tool for expanding one’s mind. If you get a chance, read the series with your child and start talking about money: saving, spending, investing, and charity.
